Jo Broom | Director
I am very proud to have set up There4u with Dana. Our aim was to provide the very best of care for people in their own homes and to promote their independence. With the help of our excellent team of staff, I really feel we have achieved that.
I have 30 years of experience working in the NHS prior to starting the company, and caring for people has always been a very important part of my life.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my family, especially my gorgeous grandsons!
I am a Trustee of Salisbury Hospice and a Director for the Chamber of Commerce. I have also served as a local Councillor for 13 years.
Dana Broom | Director & Company Secretary
After having my eldest son in 2014 There4u was set up by myself and Jo. Driven by our experience of trying to find good quality care for my nan and the difficulties we faced with that, we have created a company that really cares and respects our clients and treats them like members of our own family.
I am passionate about staff welfare, and I like to come up with innovative incentive schemes to make sure our staff feel valued at all times. We pride ourselves on our commitment to high quality, individual care and I am excited to see what the future holds for us.
Kim Stephens | Pastoral Care Facilitator
I am a trained nurse and midwife and I have worked in caring roles for the NHS and charities before being ordained and spending 16 years as a hospital chaplain.
At There4u we recognise the privilege of caring for others but also the physical and emotional demands involved. In my role I seek to offer another layer of support for staff, by coming alongside them seeking to promote self- care and well- being. I also work alongside the End of life team to help promote a holistic approach to the care we offer.
When I am not at work I love the outdoors, walking, cycling and gardening.
Teresa Jolly | Office/Finance Administrator
I’m a local girl, having lived in Salisbury for most of my live, with a brief adjourn to Andover! I went to school and sixth form at SWGS in Salisbury and since then have worked in various administration and finance roles for charities, large corporations and health care providers.
Amongst everything else I do, when I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and am studying for a degree in Classical Studies.
Leah Turner | HR Manager
I joined There4U in 2018 having worked in Human Resources for 13 years. I began my career working for major retailers before specialising in the care industry with key roles being the recruitment, on-boarding and retention of carers and support workers.
I graduated in 2006 from Bournemouth University with BA Honours and completed my Level 3 and Level 5 CIPD qualifications whilst working full time.
I am passionate about supporting my community having been a peer supporter for mothers and also an active NCT volunteer following the birth of my three children.
Denise Douglas | Care Coordinator
I joined There4U in 2015, just to fill up some spare time I had. I enjoyed being a Carer and a few months later was offered the position of Senior Carer. I have worked alongside some amazing people and still currently do.
It wasn’t long after that I became involved in rotas and offered assistant care co-ordinator position. As the company grew from strength to strength workloads increasing Senior roles extended I was then offered care coordinator position and work very closely with rest of management team as well as the senior team and all our fabulous carers. I still go and visit our lovely clients and enjoy my work as much as I did on the first day. Although sometimes it’s very hard I have a lot of fun and support and through blood sweat tears and laughter every day I learn something new and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Sam Clenshaw | Assistant Care Co-ordinator
I joined there4u in 2017 as a carer, bringing with me years of experience and knowledge of working in care. I was offered a senior carer role, becoming a part of a supportive team, then in 2020 I was promoted to assistant care coordinator, working alongside Denise, sorting rotas, care plans, meeting new clients whilst still supporting our fabulous carers and working in the community. Every day is different and some days present challenges, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I am part of the end of life team and it is a privilege to be part of a small team providing care, support and comfort to people at the end stage of their lives.
When I’m not working, I like to meet up with family and friends. I have 2 cats, Mo and Burt. I also enjoy getting my nose stuck in a good book, listening to music and enjoying my attempts at gardening.
